Congratulations to Agnes Ashbell for taking on the Wolf Run 10k challenge and running in aid of the WiP Bursary Fund! We shall be gathering a team for a Wolf Run in 2017 so email the bursary team if you are interested! Agnes writes:
“I took part in the Wolf Run a couple of weekends ago. It was muddy and wild and wet and a very hearty way to spend a Sunday morning. I did it with my mate Kath, who was raising money for a refugee organisation, while I was raising money for bursaries for Women in Power. I could not have done it myself without a bursary.
I asked the women who initiated with me in May 2016 to sponsor me, and, if anybody feels moved to donate retrospectively, then that would obviously be amazing. Written below is my previous call for support, which gives my reasons for trying to raise money for this cause. If you do feel moved to do so (after reading such a deeply considered and heartfelt request!), you can donate directly from this website, using the reference WolfRun2016. Thankyou.”
“I am going to participate in the Wolf Run again this September which I took part in last year as one of a team, raising sponsorship money for bursaries for something called Women in Power. http://womeninpoweruk.co.uk/. I later went on to apply for and receive a bursary, which meant that I could participate in the programme myself in May. I want to give something back, by running again to raise money for more women to take part, to help other women engage in this extraordinary piece of work, revolutionary process even, that is Women in Power.
THANK YOU AGNES AND TO ALL WHO SPONSORED HER!
