Calling a pack of 2019 Wolf Runners!

The Wolf Run is a 10k mud/obstacle run and we are taking part on SUNDAY 3rd NOVEMBER, in Leicestershire.

This one is slightly different and extra special – as a one off, we are raising money for both our bursary fund and the mental health charity MIND – in honour of our Women In Power (WiP) sister and friend, Jayne Blackman who died by suicide last summer. Jayne was so much part of the last wolf run (check out the video) – raising a large proportion of that year’s funds single handedly.

This year we want to double our fundraising from this event so that we can gift funds to MIND on behalf of Jayne, and we want as many women as possible to join us. We feel it is critical in these times to support a charity that is supporting many people on the ground, who don’t have access to self development work such as WIP. We want to be able to support the bigger picture, as well as continue to raise money for bursaries so that more women can access the work that WIP offers. As the community grows, so does the need for bursaries and, to put the need into context, this year we are giving away about £4000 in bursaries.

Ask anyone who has taken part in previous Wolf Runs and they will tell you it’s an awesome and hilarious way to raise money. There is plenty of time to train and we don’t want the physical aspect to put people off – we can split into a running and a walking team, or decide to go at a gentle pace that suits everyone. It’s much more about the larks and mud and wildness and being together as a team. It’s a feel-good kinda day. If the physical challenge of this is not your thing or not a possibility, then we would love supporters to cheer us on and drink a pint with us afterwards.

We have an amazing pack of women booked to take part. We’d love you to support us by making a donation. Please read our full story and donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/wip-wolf-run
